Evaluation of Hospitals on green hospital standards in Qazvin

Introduction: Hospitals may have an adverse effect on the environment. The World Health Organization (WHO) introduced concept of Green Hospital to reduce these complications while also improving purpose this study was assess how many hospitals in Qazvin met standards.Methods: This descriptive-observational carried out all that were included via census sampling method. standard green hospital questionnaire used collect data, which completed with environmental experts through interviews and document observation. has 96 questions is divided into eight dimensions: environmental, energy, hazardous materials, water, sewage, greenhouse gas emissions, external water consumption, material, environmentally friendly purchasing management. Each question graded a three-point Likert scale ranging from 0 2.Results: nine hospitals. Six teaching/public (5 teaching 1 Social Security Hospital), three public. average ratio active beds approved 90%, private reaching more than 100% (131%). mean achievement rates for first eighth dimensions 70.08, 74.07, 60.88, 40.87, 27.77, 31.48, respectively. overall score meeting standards 57.46%.Conclusions: Although achieved higher some dimensions, results showed low rates. As result, their managers employees must learn prevent degradation.
